Our client, Yes Cannabis, is a successful multi-state operator originally based in California with a proven track record in premium cannabis production. To expand their footprint and establish an East Coast presence, the company acquired a 100-year-old industrial building in Passaic, New Jersey — a structure that once manufactured vinyl records, shrink wrap, and toy packaging.

Studio Bliss was engaged to repurpose this legacy plastic manufacturing facility into a state-of-the-art cannabis manufacturing operation designed to GMP standards. The project scope included the integration of ethanol, butane, and water hash extraction systems, as well as a dedicated cultivation area, all within a 12,000-square-foot footprint.

The primary challenge was transforming an aging industrial structure into a compliant, efficient, and clean production environment capable of meeting modern manufacturing and safety standards. Our team executed a full redesign — optimizing workflow, air handling, and compliance pathways — while maintaining key architectural integrity from the original building.

The result is a high-performance manufacturing facility that embodies the client’s commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence. Following the success of this project, Yes Cannabis re-engaged Studio Bliss to design their Texas facility and license application in 2023, marking another milestone in our ongoing partnership.
