Why
Studio Bliss
We treat cannabis operators as the pioneers they are, and we hold our own work to the same standard. The result is a studio where the projects are new, the range is wide and the drawings have to hold up.
Markets as they open
Much of our work happens in markets that have just launched or are about to. You will design for operators who are first in, often while regulators are still finalizing the rules, and your drawings will help set what a compliant facility looks like there.
Every facility type
Cultivation in Chicago, processing in Nevada City, dispensaries in Brooklyn, manufacturing in Passaic, hemp extraction in Odessa. Add consumption lounges, testing labs and psilocybin facilities, from 1,000 to 100,000 square feet across the U.S., Canada and Germany. Nobody here gets pigeonholed.
Design that gets approved
Our drawings go in front of state regulators, city officials and fire departments, and they have to pass. You will work on projects from licensing through build-out and learn code, life safety and permitting as design disciplines rather than someone else's problem.
Pedigree without the stiffness
Founder Evan Bliss came up through Lehrer Architects, XTEN Architecture and Clive Wilkinson Architects before a single extraction lab in Oakland showed him that architects were ignoring this industry. We keep that level of craft and leave the formality of traditional firms at the door.
